this model is the result of a discussion in the TA:FF forums about the new broadside, many small differences were tried out. Thanks go to the visitors of the TA:FF forum, they pointed us in the right direction, and I must say the result looks impressive.

NEWS - July 24th

The Arm Dreadnought Broadside by Longbow is released!
Brief History of the Unit:
Based on scans of the alien wreckage, ARM has succeded to assemble a sturdier, more efficient dreadnought. Unlike the "slender" Broadside, this bulky unit allows for a higher amount of volume per armor, allowing a slightly smaller design. Adding to this, is the addition of 32 Longbow class missles, giving it a huge advantage in the initial strike. Over a longer period of combat, the efficacy of the unit may drop, as it runs out of missiles, in which case, it is wise to pair the unit up with a broadside or two.

This new unit boasts the newest planned features of TAFF, including a modeled "rebuilding" script to simulate nano-repairing, as well as a combat veterancy script, which increases unit efficiency over time.

NEWS - May 23th

Savant doesn't have the time to update the site on a frequently base, so I took over (estrella). Some broken links are restored, all versions of TA:FF are available again. Extra Units and Tile Sets are also ready for download. I'm currently updating the maps page with all maps made for TA: The Final Frontier, so expect a huge maps archive for you favorit conversion. I plan to finish it this week.

Just to clarify, Beyond the Final Frontier is a third race (aliens) that has been in development for a while, but is not yet finished. The beta is a bit rough but I just love the idea of a third race option :D

NEWS - January 21st

Longbow has released his amazing add-on for TA:FF! A beta anyway... still needs work but this way YOU can check out the big, big ships yourself ;) Click here to grab the zip. Just unzip it into your TA directory. Oh, and it needs TA:FF 7.4 to work (duh!).

NEWS - January 17th

Good news - Looks like the CORE campaign isn't quite dead after all. It's being developed and tested now by Longbow and WKCchampion, so I'll have more news on that shortly. Also Longbow has been working on TA:FF version 8, with a THIRD RACE! It's approaching completion, so I hope to see the results of his work in a few weeks. Oh, and it seems to be taking longer than expected to get the maps replaced. Estrella is a hard man to catch these days!

It seems a number of maps have stopped working here, so I'm endevouring to make sure they all work over the next few days. Oh, and happy new year!

NEWS - December 17th

Long time between posts, I know. Been very busy lately, to the point of burning out again! Now I see why the CORE is so popular ;) . Anyway, fixed the link to the forums, but not much else. Pleased to noticed that taff has been downloaded close to 2,500 times! Hmm, I might be on to something with this mod ;) Enjoy your festive season! Peace.

NEWS - October 13th

Well, finally got the local file server working again, so I've finished off the Phenom battlecruiser and uploaded it to the units section. This is one sweet unit folks, gotta thank Kurai for making it :).

I don't intend to do much else to TA:FF, as I have other projects to work on now. Yes, one of them is a TA project ;).

NEWS - August 17th

v7.4 is finally done. I was going to add units that people kept throwing at me but they had some bugs which would have compromised all the hard work Longbow put in debugging the scripts. The new units can be put in seperately, I've made provision for them in the AI so they might appear later.

NEWS - August 15th

What a month! *shudder*. Anyway, I'm very very slowly putting 7.4 together. A few extra units were thrown my way so I'm making sure they run OK before I release it. Also I'm so very lazy at the moment, so you'll hve to bear with me :). Now that I have access to my website again, I'll probably have it online over the weekend sometime.

NEWS - July 5th

Found another crash bug :(. What I'll do is, every time someone notices a crash, I'll look around for a problem and release a small patch file. Once all the crashes are gone, I'll do another release. You can get the current patch here.

NEWS - July 1st

I stuffed up with the TA:M version - it was using the OTA commanders instead of the command cruisers. If you've already downloaded it, you can fix the problem by grabbing the AIboost file from the downloads section. I'm also uploading a fixed TA:M zip file now too.

NEWS - June 27th

Added a new map today - "Iceteroids". Mmm, pretty. :D

Also added a weaponry database to the manual. It's not complete yet, so it's only available for viewing online, but once I finish it'll be in the downloadable version too.

Estrella managed to recover a couple of extra maps too! Only a few to go before the map section is restored and I can get around to converting more of the old maps to the new tileset.

NEWS - June 24th

v7.3 is ready! Played it for 2 hours straight with no crashes ( I swear!). I've uploaded the 7.3 manual, and the zipped version too. I'll have the main file ready to go shortly. Also it seems everything except the HTML was damaged during the server move, so all the maps and downloads were killed :(. I only had three maps on my HD cause I had to reformat it a few weeks back, so I'll have to redo most of them.
